Two Dead Witches

Nobody wants to talk about the fate of the witches but anyone will eventually. When the new sheriff arrived, he declared he would cure Washbasin of their backwards superstitions. Despite being generally disliked, he managed to whip up the fury of a proper mob and turned them against the witches who had looked after the village, the swamp and the woods. 

The Welldigger Witch was first, dragged from her house by her hair and burned at the stake at Hex G. She caught in a column of flame that split the sky and burrowed deep into the ground. As the pit cooled, a toxic vapour belched forth, killing all those who didn't run fast enough, choking them on their own swelling lungs. 

The Fishbone Witch was next. When the men came to her door, she went with them quietly. She was strung up from a willow tree in Hex T. As she was hanged, the tree grew tall and twisted. Its roots came up from the ground dragging the men standing closest into the muddy earth.

For Hexcrawloween. 

I still need to add the maps to this. I have them drawn, I just need to scan and clean them up. I'm pretty happy with it and want to do some extra development in the future:
